1. How long does shipping take?
Processing: 1-3 business days. Shipping: 5-10 business days (contiguous US). Step stools may ship via freight with extended delivery times (7-15 business days). You'll receive tracking via email.

2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout based on weight/destination. Free standard shipping on orders over $[amount].

3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.

4. What types of step stools do you offer?
We offer step stools and folding step stools. For children's step stools or folding step stools intended for children, our products comply with 16 CFR Part 1232 – the CPSC safety standard for children's folding chairs and stools, which incorporates ASTM F2613. Requirements include:

  • Structural integrity testing – load-bearing capacity and stability

  • Fold/lock mechanism safety – prevents accidental collapse

  • Small parts compliance – no accessible small parts that could pose choking hazards for children under 3 (16 CFR Part 1501)

  • Weight capacity clearly marked

  • CPSIA compliance – lead content <100 ppm, phthalates <0.1% for accessible components, tracking labels (16 CFR Part 1130)

For adult step stools, our products meet ASTM stability standards. All step stools (if made with composite wood) comply with CARB ATCM Phase 2 formaldehyde emission limits (≤0.05 ppm).

5. What types of door stoppers do you offer?
We offer door stoppers, including wedge stoppers. Our products comply with:

  • 16 CFR Part 1500.48/1500.49 – no hazardous sharp points or edges

  • If intended for use by children under 3, must not contain small parts (fits within 1.25-inch choke tube per 16 CFR Part 1501). Small parts are banned for children under 3.

  • If product contains small parts for general use, includes required choking hazard warning per 16 CFR § 1500.19

  • Load capacity testing as applicable

  • Materials comply with California Proposition 65 chemical limits

6. What types of carpets do you offer?
We offer area rugs and runners. All our carpets comply with:

Flammability – 16 CFR Part 1630:

  • Test per ASTM D2859 (Standard Test Method for Ignition Characteristics of Finished Textile Floor Covering Materials)

  • Specimen burn hole ≤2.54 cm (1.0″) in diameter – at least 7 out of 8 specimens must pass

  • For carpets passing, labeling optional; for carpets failing, must be permanently labeled "FLAMMABLE (FAILS U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE STANDARD FF 2-70): SHOULD NOT BE USED NEAR SOURCES OF IGNITION"

  • 16 CFR Part 1631 applies to smaller carpets/runners within dimensional limits

  • CPSC requires recall for any non-compliant carpets

General Compliance:

  • FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423) – permanent care labels attached

  • If made with composite wood or mixed materials, comply with CPSIA lead limits (<100 ppm for accessible parts)

  • California Proposition 65 warnings apply for listed chemicals (phthalates in backings/adhesives, certain dyes/finishes)

7. Do children's step stools require a Children's Product Certificate (CPC)?
Yes. For step stools intended for children 12 and under, we provide a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) based on third-party testing at a CPSC-accepted laboratory, certifying compliance with:

  • 16 CFR Part 1232 (children's folding chairs and stools)

  • ASTM F2613 (voluntary standard incorporated by reference)

  • CPSIA lead (<100 ppm) and phthalates (<0.1%)

  • 16 CFR Part 1130 tracking labels

8. What are tracking labels?
Per 16 CFR Part 1130, children's products must include permanent tracking labels on product and packaging containing manufacturer name, production date, batch or lot number, and country of origin.

9. How do I care for my step stool?

  • Wood: Wipe with damp cloth; dry thoroughly. Avoid standing water.

  • Metal: Wipe with damp cloth; dry immediately to prevent rust.

  • Plastic: Wipe with mild soap.

  • Check hardware periodically; tighten if needed.

10. How do I care for my door stopper?

  • Wipe with damp cloth; dry thoroughly.

  • For adhesive models, ensure surface is clean before installation.

  • Replace if cracked or deformed.

11. How do I care for my carpet?

  • Vacuum regularly (without beater bar for delicate rugs).

  • Blot spills immediately – do not rub.

  • Professional cleaning recommended every 12-18 months.

  • Use a rug pad underneath to prevent slipping.

12. What is California Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires warnings for products containing chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging.
